Chemical Cleaning

AlC-Chemical BV is a new player in the market for chemical cleaning of systems and installations.

Chemical cleaning involves using a specialist chemical formula which causes a reaction that dissolves the product to be removed. For this we use appropriate chemicals, these can be custom formulated if necessary. Before starting work, we carry out various tests to determine which products and concentrations give the best results. Then, in consultation with the customer, we determine the optimal working method to achieve the customer’s needs in the context of safety, the environment and budget. Chemical cleaning takes place until the contamination is removed. After cleaning, the installation is rinsed so that all chemical residues are removed. A-I-C has the appropriate equipment to carry out the chemical cleaning in a safe and efficient manner and dispose of the waste residues to an approved processor.

Chemical cleaning is one of the fastest methods to restore an installation to proper working order, advantages are little or no disassembly and very fast turnaround time. Also, chemical cleaning is a fully controllable process which is monitored by continuous laboratory control. For this monitoring we have a fully equipped mobile laboratory unit , in which all checks are carried out with the most modern equipment. At our depot, an additional initial investigation of the contamination is also carried out so that the methods offered and the chemicals to be used are the correct ones. We guarantee a fast and safe execution, all work is carried out in accordance with the SIR guidelines (Industrial Cleaning Foundation). Online cleaning of combustion plants

Since june 2022 AlC-Chemical BV will be the exclusive services contractor for the whole EU for Polarchem Europe Ltd. Polarchem® has existed since 1976 and has delivered for many years the products and services in heavy industry.

AlC-Chemical BV has a specialised product Polarchem®L2K , which is injected into the fire by atomization of the product. The injected product combines with the contaminants on the tubes in the radiant and convection section, the contamination that remains dissolves or pulverises and is carried by the vortex to the outside of the smokestacks.

The big advantage of the online cleaning technique is that no production downtime is required or reversed.

There are two methods

1. Manual online injection

For 3 to 4 days , this is mostly applied in case of acute poor heat transfer (a difference of 100℃ is often achievable) …

2. Fully automatic injection

During 24 hours a day, by injecting a relatively small amount of product through fixed lances, usually water or air cooled. The installation can show a flat heat transfer over the entire production year, and regular unexpected downtime for cleaning can be avoided, improving efficiency as well as reducing maintenance costs.

That is why we have taken into use a mobile laboratory vehicle, which can be used both at home and on projects. AIC-Chemical lab technicians and engineers have extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of Chemicals and processes, and have the most advanced equipment in the laboratory to perform the analyses.
